Rail Infrastructure delivered
Olive Downs Project

The Pembroke Olive Downs Complex project is a significant development in the Bowen Basin, located near Moranbah in Queensland. The Betta Group, Central Queensland’s most trusted electrical, and infrastructure contractor, has been working to deliver the rail control and signalling infrastructure for Aurizon.

The project involved building the concrete foundation pad and craning the Main Control Room into place for the Signalling, Communication and Power Equipment Rooms (SCR/CER/PER) for the 19km rail spur and loop being built to connect to the Norwich Park branch line.

The Control Room that The Betta Group landed next to the railway line is an important component of the infrastructure required for the railway project, as it is the control centre for the railway signalling system, which is a critical part of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the railway.

Using a crane to land the Control Room in such a precise location next to the railway line required expert planning and execution. The Betta Group’s team of highly skilled professionals worked closely with Aurizon’s project management teams to ensure that the project was completed safely, on time, and within budget.

The Betta Group is a locally grown Australian company, owned by ORCODA (ASX:ODA). It has a reputation for providing high-quality infrastructure and electrical services to its clients in the greater Central Queensland area, and this latest project is no exception.
